12. Are you OK to work in a rotational shift?

Answer:

Since many KPOs cater to international clients, you may need to work in accordance with their time zone. This is the reason why the KPOs look for individuals who are willing to work in rotational shifts.

Be honest. If you are open to work in rotational shifts, say yes. If you are not comfortable, working in a shift, mention the reason.

13. What do you know about us?

Answer:

This question is a general one and not something specific to this industry. If you are going for an interview, you must have basic information about the company and the services/products it offers. A good homework makes you a serious candidate.

For e.g. If you are being interviewed at a content solution providing KPO, you can say something like

"ABC Solutions Pvt limited provides content solutions to various publishers across UK and India. I have read that, you are one of the largest content solution providers in both digital and print media. You create and design e-learning content. Recently, you were awarded by XYZ for exceptional contribution in maintaining the sustainable environment."

14. How do you handle pressure situations at work?

Answer:

Work pressure does exist. It is a fact that can't be denied.

In order to handle these difficult situations, you need to plan ahead. You need to stay organized and focused, be flexible and adaptable to changes.  Sometimes even the best-planned tasks may need a change at some point.  

To answer this question you can say something like: "To keep myself organized, I prepare a 'to do' list and make sure I do not miss out any task which needs to be done. This really keep me in action but relaxed throughout the day. I ensure that I am not disturbed by any interruption and try to finish my task on time.

If I am too stressed I take a break and do some stretching exercises at my desk or take a short walk outside the office."

15. What are your long-term career goals?

Answer:

Recruitment is a time and energy consuming job. No one likes to hire the best candidate only to realise that they would leave after 3 months, pushing me into the same cycle again.

The interviewers ask this question to understand your career goals and see how you fit into the position you are being interviewed for. They want to make sure that they are hiring someone who is motivated enough, proactive and someone who is here to stay for some time.

To answer this question you may give a general answer but stress on a long term career at the company you are being interviewed at. Show your enthusiasm, lay emphasis on growing with the company and take new challenges.

To answer this question you can say something like: "My goal is to find a position at a company where I can develop my skills and also get an opportunity to grow and take on new challenges. Later, I'd like to take more management responsibilities. But most importantly, I want to work for a company where I can get a chance to build my career and grow with the company."

16. How do you rate your computer skills?

Answer:

The answer to this question depends on the position you have applied for. Before going to the interview look at the job description carefully and see if the job needs you to know any specific software or is it just the general computer skills that is required.

To answer this question you can say something like: "I have a good experience of working with Microsoft Office Suites such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I am comfortable using these programs for my daily office tasks. I'm also good with video and photo editing software. In fact, I have even edited a few short videos for my friend's Youtube channel. Is there anything specific that you are looking for?"
