14. In data entry, how will you improve data quality?

Answer:

Managing huge data on daily basis is not an easy task. Here are some tips to improve data quality in data entry.

i. Make employees understand the importance of data. Tell them, how inaccurate data can affect the business. This will make them more accountable and efficient.
ii. Remove all redundant data. Review and keep all the relevant data.
iii. Identify and rectify the problem before the data reaches an advance stage.
iv. Set practical data entry accuracy goals and targets for your employees & assess them based on these.
v. Use software tools that can reduce the work pressure from the data entry professionals.
vi. Do not overload the data entry team. Delegate the work efficiently and make sure the employees are not exhausted which increases the chances of errors.
vii. Managers should create an efficient system of review and cross check the data received. This will help to reduce and remove most of the errors.

15. How would you rate your typing skills?

Answer:

Good typing is one of the most important assets of a data entry executive. This job role usually requires a large amount of typing.

An interviewer would prefer someone who can touch type i.e. typing without looking at the keyboard. The candidate usually expected to be accurate with a minimum of 60 words per minute or more.

To answer this question you can say: I possess excellent typing skills which I have built over the time through practice. I pay a lot of attention to accuracy as well. I can type 65-70 words per minute. In order to improve my speed and accuracy, I often take an online typing test.

16. Tell us about yourself.

Answer:

This is the first question, the interviewer may ask you. To answer this question you need to prepare yourself well and highlight your work history, skills and achievements.

This question is a good opportunity to let the interviewer know why you are a good fit for this position.

You can say something like: "I have been working for XYZ as a Data Entry Executive for last 3 years. My main focus is to collect and analyze data from reliable sources and present it in the format as per company requirement.   

Maintaining high level of accuracy, I have to ensure that the data is reviewed properly leaving no chances of error. I also deal with a lot of confidential data which needed to be presented format required by the company. I possess a good typing speed of 70 words per minute.

To keep myself focused I practice meditation regularly. It makes me sharp and keeps me focused. I enjoy trekking and I love to explore new places.

I believe, you are looking for a Data Entry - Team leader and with the experience I possess, I believe that I'll be a good fit for this role."

17. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Answer:

The interviewer would like to know the strengths which are relevant to the job role. You need to identify your strengths and the strengths required for this job. Whatever you have in common are your strengths required for the job.

When you talk about your weakness, ensure you talk about how you are working on improving them. It shows that you are aware of your flaws and you believe in fixing them.

To answer this question, you can say something like: "I pay a lot of attention to detail and make sure my document is error free. I do not send any document without reviewing and proofreading. I also ensure that I do not miss any deadline.

As far as my weakness, I sometimes tend to put a lot of time in one task, I have now started making a timesheet allotting time for each task so that I can focus on the work that needs to be done in the day and invest time in all the task properly."
